How To Connect: PSO Blue Burst
Installation Guide for original US PSOBB to Schthack PSOBB
- Install the game as normal.
- Register a Schthack account for PSO Blue Burst. You can do this at the Blue Burst registration page.
- Download the Japanese item patch and extract to the PSO Blue Burst directory.
Default: C:\Program Files\SEGA\PHANTASY STAR ONLINE Blue Burst\

- You should be ready to run Blue Burst on Schthack's server. If you get any errors or other bugs, refer to the FAQ on the official Blue Burst support site. Otherwise, please visit our forums.

Q) Why can't I type while in the game?
A) You need to turn off advanced text services for the game client. To do so, follow the instructions below:
- Open the game directory. Default: C:\Program Files\SEGA\PHANTASY STAR ONLINE Blue Burst\
- Right-click the "PsoBB.exe" icon and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.
- Click the "Compatability" tab at the top of the Properties window.
- Check the "Turn off advanced text services for this program" checkbox.
- Press the OK button.
