You asked and answered your own question. There is no lobby music without a serial.

to enter serials you need to use the original, unmodified autorun.exe and choose online mode. that's really the only time you should ever use the original unless you need to use a fresh installation copy.

the original autorun, and the original pso.exe (try it with the unmodified windowed mode version from ives's site, if not use the original original). They ALL need to be in the %program files%\SEGA\phantasystaronline folder.

Edit: fixed and cleaned up.

You really shouldn't try to offer tech support when you don't know what you're talking about. If you use the original online.exe, it will attempt to connect to Sega's patch server and registration will never work. :glare: You have to use the online.exe provided in the Torrent.

the thing is, you can't open online.exe by itself. the only way to do it is from another program.

Ok simply put, (if you want to input serials) do everything above, except instead of the original online.exe, use the one from the torrent. open the original autorun and choose online, and than it should be rather straightforward.
Just Remember, the original autorun, the torrent online, and the pso exe's all need to be in %program files%\SEGA\phantasystaronline\

When you're done, switch back to the 'new' stuff and boom(a)!

change your language to english first ;)

the top is serial number, the second is access key, and the third is email (verify this?)
