if a user uses the english patch from the server, their names revert back to the old merge names. This will fix that problem.

Ah I see. Well, as I don't use any merges (currently) then this doesn't affect me. However, I will say good work anyway as I'm sure some people care.

In winrar it shows up as a .prs file, when I double click to open it, it says it can't open the file, if I try to extract it straight to the data in my psobb file it says "cannot create.../access denied.../no files to extract...". I'm sure this is an easy problem to solve, I'm just computertarded.

sounds like you use vista and made the mistake of installing PSO to your programs folder.

Can anyone tell me why some of my old amps say unused after using this patch? Not all but some say unused.

Because some Amps ARE unused. Whereas we had Amp of Foie, Gifoie, Rafoie, Barta etc, we now only have Amp of Si, Gi and Ra.

I've redownloaded this and cannot seem to change the quest text from Japanese gibberish to English. Any fix?

And to the post above mine: It'll ask you where to extract the file; make sure to extract it in PSOBB > Data.

ok i went an clicked the button an a screen comes up sayin save file or unrare right away an i have vista so i dont know wha to do. cause i dont know how to get the file into the data file. it only lets me unrar it on vista.

.rar is an archive format similar to .zip. WinZip can open .rar files but you need at least version 11+

If you don't, do a google search for 'WinRAR' and download/install that. Then you can open .rar files.

If you have got WinZip 11+ your file associations may be wrong. Check in WinZips options and make sure .rar is set to open with WinZip.
