Going to need a little more information to provide better feedback, but: If you're playing on a Wii, consider using a wired ethernet adapter. The Wii's WiFi chip is pretty bad. If you're using Dolphin, and on Wifi, consider using Ethernet. If you're on a GC, then maybe consider resetting your router.
