GameCube. Made myHL account, same serial and access key as sticker in my game, followed gcn set up tutorial, use same password as myHL account, doesn't get online.

I've been trying for half an hour rereading the guide and reattempting. One time I used a wrong password and got past the loading screen where you can move with analog into another error screen that was error 102.

Is the ip address in the guide wrong? Are these servers even real? Is this some cruel joke. I was never able to get my game online as a kid, was so excited to see that this service exists, yet once again I am denied online mode.

No.015 Connection attempt failed. Failed to retrieve IP address from DHCP.

I entered 149.56.167.128 like the connection guide image shows

Maybe make a connection guide that works? Idk

Used same password as myHL account and got

(No.102) You could not be connected to the server. Please check that your provider settings are correct before connecting. The line was disconnected.

What causes the No.015 error? Depending on the day 30-70% of my attempts to play online are met with No.015

Error 15 means that your GC has no internet connection, so if you are getting this error frequently, it may be time to replace the ethernet cord or maybe reset the router
