I downloaded the game, and finaly managed to create my account on the server, but after the patch updates all 42 archives in total, the game changed everything from english to japanese, I thought I could change back the language after logging in the ship, but I am unable to do so, how do I change the menus and the game back to English before the patches updates?

do I need some additional language installer?

make sure the En option is selected in the launcher

I have the same problem, both in wine and Windows 11, after the game updates.
There's no "EN" option in the launcher.

The launcher is supposed to update itself and the part of the game, if it doesnt make sure no antivirus or firewall is blocking it

This happened both in Windows and Linux Mint with wine. No firewall or antivirus.

try unziping this in your psobb folder : https://upd.schtserv.com/update.zip

After manually replacing the files, it works as expected.
There's probably something wrong with the updater.

For me I just had to avoid lutris. Direct wine install then lutris launch. Hope that helps
