Schtserv Anniversary Event 2025

Hello.
For those of you who were around in December 2024, you may remember the month long 20th anniversary event we ran. If you don't remember, or you weren't here, feel free to check out this link for what you can expect. viewtopic.php?t=2510
This year's event will be more or less the same, except the quests in which we are tracking kills for will be slightly different. We'll announce those a bit later.
To review, your kills in free play maps and in specific quests will count towards the kill count goal. For each goal that is hit, drops will be effected globally (yes every quest that does not already have its drops altered and every free area).
You also must kill enemies in a difficulty that is appropriate for your character's level, this also includes having a higher level player with you in a lower difficulty. Those kills will not count.
All versions of PSO (PSODC, PSOPC, PSOGC, PSOEPIII*, PSOBB) will have their kills count towards the same goal.
*For Episode III specifically, all Field Characters, and Story Characters destroyed count towards the goal.
Specific details:
Kills will always be tracked in freeplay, assuming you meet the level cut offs we set, note that they do not match the 20 40 80 difficulty requirements, so are a bit more lenient. These level cut offs will also be used for quests. Challenge Mode (C-Mode) kills intend to be tracked for the entire month as to not disparage players from playing C-Mode, obviously the level cut offs are not used for C-Mode.
You might be wondering, what happens if a higher level player joins your lower difficulty game? The kills up until the higher level player joins the game will count, everything after will not.
The kills are tracked by the team. Once the team disbands, the server will collect the information and the # of monsters killed in that game and get added to the global total.
The 3 Anniversary quests will also be making their return around the middle of the month again, and we will be running the Time Attack competition again, however it will be under a different ruleset. We'll explain more as we approach the middle of December.
The first unlock bonus will start at 60,000 Kills.
