I played a good while a few years ago (my hdd data says 2019ish) but haven't played since then. Does character storage/data get deleted if a user is inactive for a certain period of time?

I was able to log into myHL and i tried logging into my account in the game but it keeps saying I have to create a new character and was wondering if there was a remote possibility of ever recovering my character(s) back?

Edit: this was on blue burst pc client

at some point in 2022 we removed the custom items and went back to a vanilla game, all char got removed to start fresh

ahh gotcha, a bit of a bummer but all good I will just start over again
